ALEXANDRIA, VA - Diana Buckley, human resource director of Ellis County was
honored by the Society for Human Resource Management alongside 14 other members
across the nation.
The "SHRM Economic Stimulus Prize," awards individual HR professionals whose
strategies produced a measurable and positive impact on business
operations.Buckley, after its worker compensation premiums doubled in Jan. 2008,
launched Ellis County a wellness program that has already led to a three percent
decrease in its 2009 workers' comp premiums.
"These fresh ideas and innovated programs clearly demonstrate HR's role in
creating smart and sophisticated business strategies in response to the growing
economic crisis," said SHRM President and CEO Laurence G. O'Neil.
