The Ellis County Press: TCLEOSE may take action against Fry TCLEOSE may take action against Fry ================================================================================ Editor on 01/23/2009 17:28:00 AUSTIN - Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education public information officer Laura Le Blanc, confirmed that no disciplinary actions of suspension or revocation have been taken at this time on Precinct 1 Constable Ben Fry, R-Ennis. Fry, who is being charged with Class A misdemeanor after allegedly causing a scene at Cardona's Mexican restaurant last April when he reportedly asked for his bill to be discounted because he received poor service, could face up to one year in jail and/or a $4,000 fine. "Constable Ben Fry has a current complaint for a criminal offense for which TCLEOSE may take action pending the outcome of the criminal proceedings." Said Le Blanc. Fry is scheduled for a consultation hearing March 19 at 9 a.m. with presiding 297th District Court Judge Everett Young.
