GLENN HEIGHTS-  Patrick  Harvey, director of finance for the City of Glenn
Heights was just awarded The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in
Financial Reporting during the first council meeting of the year held Monday,
Jan 5 .
The award, offered by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United
States and Canada for its comprehensive annual finance report is the highest
form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial
reporting by each the government and its management.
The GFOA, a non-profit association, holds offices in Chicago, IL and Washington,
D.C. serving 17,000 government finance professionals.
The council voted and approved Harvey last March.
