NUMBERS ARE ‘DEFERRED TAX INCREASES'

ELLIS COUNTY - Taxpayers' votes for bond packages for cities and schools can
expect to pay big in the future for what Peggy Venable with the Americans For
Prosperity-Texas chapter calls "deferred tax increases."
See below for a list of the local city and school district debt loads, plus
Ellis County government debt and Navarro College's debt.
Note though Ellis County taxpayers don't pay property taxes to Navarro College,
the school district based in Corsicana has three campuses in Ellis County that
Navarro County taxpayers fund.
