Appearing on Ellis CountyRadio.com (co-hosted by this paper's news staff) last
week, write-in candidate for sheriff Susan Welch-Rodriguez said the first thing
she will do if sworn into office on Jan. 1 is find where the coffee pot is
located and "meet as many people as possible." The two-hour show attracted
numerous callers weighing in on the campaigns of both Rodriguez and Republican
Johnny Brown.
