GLENN HEIGHTS - Lightening was the probable cause of a house fire at 821
Monette, according to Fire Chief Chris Shook.
At 6:17 a.m. on Aug. 15, firefighters responed to a structure fire and arrived
at 6:23 a.m. and reported nothing showing from a two story residential
structure.
Police officers arriving earlier said they saw smoke coming from the roof.
Firefighters found a small fire in the attic with a ruptured gas line feeding
the fire. The gas was shut off to the home and the fire was extinguished.
