A fire of unknown origin totally gutted the Donut House in Ferris early
Wednesday afternoon. Fire officials found the building at Eighth Street and
Central in flames on arrival around 12:30. One witness said he saw a column of
smoke on his way into Ferris. No damage estimates were released.
