The Ellis County Press: HOPE CLINIC RECEIVES $30,000 HOPE CLINIC RECEIVES $30,000 ================================================================================ Editor on 05/21/2008 20:53:00 Jay Fox, president of Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie, recently presented a check for $30,000 to Mackie Owens, director of the Hope Clinic in Waxahachie, a faith-based comprehensive outpatient health care clinic established in 2000 by a group of Ellis County citizens in response to the growing need of healthcare for the uninsured. At the Hope Clinic's inception, Baylor Waxahachie donated medical equipment and supplies as well as $30,000 in funding. Baylor Waxahachie continues to make an annual donation to the Hope Clinic. In addition, physicians on the medical staff at Baylor Waxahachie volunteer their time treating patients at the clinic free-of-charge.
