The Ellis County Press: Italy superintendent leaving district Italy superintendent leaving district ================================================================================ Editor on 07/26/2007 00:00:00 ERIC CORNELISON _Editor_ ITALY — Italy ISD Superintendent Dr. Gail Haterius has been named lone finalist for superintendent at Clyde ISD. This seems to just be a formality because there will be a short waiting period before a superintendent actually takes over. With the recent resignation of six teachers and the hiring of five others, some community members are wondering why Haterius would be leaving at such a critical time. Haterius said she applied for the superintendent's position with the Clyde ISD for family reasons and has been superintendent of Italy ISD since 2005. According to Haterius she applied for the job because it was closer to where her husband works which is in Abilene. Haterius will remain with the district until August and there has been no announcement of when the district will begin a search for a new superintendent.
