County auditor’s office recognized for excellence

Ellis County - Commissioners' Court recently announced the Ellis County
Auditor's Office had been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence
in Financial Reporting for the 10th consecutive year.
'Out of 254 Texas counties, only 48 received a Certificate of Achievement,' said
Mike Navarro, Ellis County Auditor.
'I am proud of my staff and the efforts they put in serving the taxpayers of
Ellis County.'
The certificate of achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of
governmental accounting and financial reporting.
Receiving this recognition represents a significant accomplishment by a
government and its management.
Mike Navarro has been Ellis County Auditor since June 1993. His staff consists
of Yvonne W. Odom, Mary L. Bridges, Linda K. Lake, Teral L. Crawford, Mathew W.
Edington and Jocelyn Y. King.
