The Ellis County Press: Ranch hand killed Ranch hand killed ================================================================================ Editor on 12/07/2006 00:00:00 SHERRY LONG _News Editor_ OAK LEAF - Law enforcement officials were releasing few details regarding the murder of a ranch hand around 12:30 p.m. early Saturday afternoon, Dec. 2. Nahun Rangel, 25, was pronounced dead about 3:50 p.m. Saturday afternoon after being transported to Baylor Hospital in Waxahachie. Rangel's body was transported to the Dallas County Medical Examin-er's Office for an autopsy. Justice of the Peace Jackie Miller Jr, Pct.2, said the initial autopsy report stated Rangel died from injuries received from a 'shotgun wound to the upper body.' Charged with first-degree murder in Rangel's death, Stephanie Robert-son, 37, bonded out of the Wayne McCollum Detention Center in Waxahachie after posting a $2,500 bond 'There are some circumstances involving this case that led me to believe that an appearance bond (as this was) would be fine,' Miller said. Ellis County Sheriff Capt. Danny Williams said he could not comment on the motive or circumstances involving the shooting. Williams did reveal Rangel was killed at a friend's house.
