On Thursday, Nov. 16 Harris was scheduled to dance with the Moscow Ballet in the world-famous Nutcracker at the Majestic Theatre in downtown Dallas. This was Harris' first time to dance with such an international ballet company, although she had danced in numerous local recitals. Performances at the Majestic continue through Sunday, Nov. 19. Harris said her dance teacher Miss Gwen, owner of London School of Dance, had suggested she audition for the Nutcracker earlier this fall. Harris earned the role of a mouse under the evil King Mouse. 'Being a mouse is so prestigious. You're on stage more,' Harris said. 'I love being on stage.' Dancing for six years, Harris said she planned to pursue ballet as a career. Her dreams of being a professional ballet dancer were almost side lined with two knee injuries last year. 'It was devastating, but she came back stronger than ever,' said Sharon Harris, Hannah's mom. 'She loves dancing. Sometimes it's hard to talk to her because she twirls around the whole house.' Harris lives in Ferris with her parents and younger sister.
