The Ellis County Press: Ennis festival is Saturday Ennis festival is Saturday ================================================================================ Editor on 10/19/2006 00:00:00 ANGIE DERDEN _The Ellis County Press_ ENNIS - Ennis Historic Downtown Merchants Association is to host the Autumn Days Festival in its fifth year this Saturday, Oct. 21. The event is to take place in the downtown district from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Admission will be free. Numerous activities are to be available at no charge throughout the day such as face painting, a petting zoo, pumpkin decorating, Topper the Magic Clown and a photo booth. Other activities like pony rides, a train ride and a bounce house were scheduled to be available at a charge. Entertainment scheduled to appear include the Ennis Black Belt Academy at 10:30 a.m., the Ennis Czech Boys at 11 a.m., Ira Bradford and Bustin' Loose at 2 p.m., and Mandy Hutchins at 4:30 p.m. The festival organizers have invited antique car owners to come and display their cars on McKinney Street to benefit Meals on Wheels. Entrants may also bring a canned food donation to benefit Helping Hands. Arts and crafts vendors were likely to pack the downtown streets.
