Largent, 50, lives in Waxahachie and works for ROISD, according to Superintendent Kay Waggoner, who notified parents of special education students by phone and later, a letter last week. Waggoner said there was no evidence of any material being found on district equipment or anything involving ROISD children. Waxahachie police issued a warrant after a witness had taken information to them in November, and soon afterwards, Largent's computer equipment was seized, as was various video tapes, CDs and photographs. Police used a confidential informant, according to officials, in the three-week investigation. Largent has not been heard of since the warrant was issued, police said. Some parents within the ROISD have become angry since nothing was made public until now. Waggoner said letters were sent only to parents of children Largent had taught. According to Waggoner, Largent was a special education diagnostician who helped create programs for children.
