HUTCHINS - Chief of Police Ricky D. Hutcherson announced he is leaving Hutchins
after 14 years with the department.
Hutcherson, who served five years as chief, told the Ellis County Press he is
leaving on good terms with the city and of his own accord. He also expressed his
sincere affection for the citizens of Hutchins.
Hutcherson announced plans to represent an area constable as an employee of
Dallas County Sheriff's Office. 
Assistant Chief David Landers will serve as interim chief for Hutchins.
