RED OAK — Cheryl Ward filed an investigative report Aug. 22 with the Ellis
County Sheriff's Office alleging Donald Tompkins, 27, of Waxahachie followed her
to a friend's residence in Ennis on Aug. 20.
Ward told investigators she previously resided with Tompkins, but after she
moved he began stalking her. She said in the report she feared for her safety
because Tompkins had a history of violence and previously had threatened her.
