RED OAK - A Red Oak man, Sergio Colunga, 26, has been indicted by the Ellis
County grand jury on the first degree felony charge of injury to a child.
Colunga was the boyfriend of and living with the child's mother. Both Colunga
and the mother were in the home at the time of the incident. The incident
occurred Dec. 22. The child died shortly after being taken for medical
treatment.
According to Assistant District Attorneys Cindi Ermatinger and Isabelle Dorlan
the two month old child was shaken and suffered trauma from a blunt object.
