NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
ELLIS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS’ COURT
Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Ellis County
Commissioners’ Court will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., in
the Commissioners’ Courtroom, the Historic Ellis County Courthouse, 101 West
Main Street (2nd Floor), Waxahachie, Texas at which time the following will be
discussed and considered, to-wit:

OPENING COURT
1.1       County Judge will call meeting to order, declare quorum if present,
and declare notices legally posted pursuant to Open Meetings Act.
1.2       Motion to Open Court
ELECTIONS
2.1       Consideration and action to appoint Tim Birdwell as the Ellis County
Fire Marshal.  The term of office shall be two years, commencing immediately and
ending on September 30, 2013.  Mr. Birdwell will also serve as the Ellis County
Emergency Services Coordinator.

2.2       Consideration and action to increase the annual salary of the
Emergency Services Coordinator by $5,000 and approving the related budget
amendment to cover this adjustment.  From 001-0140-50558, Contingencies/Reserve
To 001-0430-50502, Salary; 001-0430-50553, Social Security; 001-0430-50554,
Retirement.
