The Ellis County Press: Three found guilty of murder Three found guilty of murder ================================================================================ Megan Gray on 06/02/2011 15:29:00 WAXAHACHIE – An Ellis County Jury found three guilty of murder last week in Judge Bob Carroll’s 40th District Court. After several hours of deliberation and hearing arguments on both sides, Fernando Juarez and Eric Lee Maldonado were charged with 1st degree Capital Murder and sentenced to life in prison for the slaying of Exxon Owner Mohammad Hashem last April. Ruben Hernandez was charged with murder and sentenced to 50 years with a $10,000 fine on Friday, May 27. The fourth suspect, a juvenile, wasn’t sentenced or on trial at this time. Hashemi was headed to the bank for his night drop Sunday, April 18, 2010 and not seen from again. Area law enforcement agencies discovered Hashemi 34 hours later, dead, in a wooded area on Spur 469 between Garrett and Ennis. Hashami left behind a wife and seven kids.
