Wilmer: Mayor speaks to crowd

WILMER - During tonight's council meeting, Thursday, May 19, the city council
accepted the resignation of Vicky Vandygriff and Matias Leal.
Vandygriff's position was replaced by Jean Alder and Leal's unexpired term was
replaced by Vandygriff  to the mixed crowd of boos and cheering.
Vandygriff lost re-election Saturday, May 14 but, with Leal's unexpried term,
she will remain on council for another year.
Council votes will be canvassed and sworn in Tuesday, May 24 at 7:30 p.m., at
Wilmer City Hall.
