The Ellis County Press: Cedar Hill Candidate Forum will be held Thursday, March 31 Cedar Hill Candidate Forum will be held Thursday, March 31 ================================================================================ Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce [info@cedarhillchamber.org] on 03/30/2011 14:02:00 A Candidate Forum will be held Thursday, March 31 at the Cedar Hill Recreation Center from 6-8 p.m. Kingswood Homeowners Group and the Cedar Hill Chamber are hosting the event to allow citizens to meet the candidates and ask questions. City Council incumbents Daniel C. Haydin, Jr. and Clifford Shaw are running unopposed and there will be no city election, saving the city money. For the school district, there are three positions with candidates. Valerie Banks will not be running again, so for Place 3, Wendy Hodges-Kent will be challenged by James Charles. Place 4 incumbent Daniel Hernandez will be challenged by James Charles Hein, Jr., and Place 5 incumbent Michael Quildon will be in a race with Leslie Newson. The candidates will be introduced, and each will speak, followed by written questions submitted by the audience.
