SH 114 Eastbound Mainlanes West Of Loop 12 Will Close This Weekend

Traffic switch necessitates the closure
IRVING – Weather permitting, State Highway 114 mainlanes eastbound, will be
closed and traffic will be diverted onto the frontage roads at the
Rochelle/Riverside exit and will re-enter mainlanes at the next entrance to SH
114 beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, March 25, through 5 a.m. Monday, March 28.
This closure is necessary to ensure the safety of the traveling public and
workers during a traffic switch operation that will allow the continued
construction of new mainlanes on SH 114.
This is part of the $224 million project to reconstruct the Loop 12/SH 114
interchange. The project began in February 2009 and is expected to be complete
in March 2013.
TxDOT appreciates the patience of motorists and encourages attention to all
warning signs within the construction work zone while crews work diligently to
complete this project as quickly and as safely as possible.
