The Ellis County Press: Police seek help to identify tattoos Police seek help to identify tattoos ================================================================================ Megan Gray on 12/09/2010 23:03:00 WAXAHACHIE - The Waxahachie Police Department is seeking help to identify the couple pictured to the right. Sgt. Brad Doughty advised the two used stolen checks to purchase gift cards recently. On Friday, Dec. 19 during the late evening hours the victims Ford F-150 was parked in Don Jose's restaurant parking lot where it was burglarized while the victims were patronizing at Don Jose's. According to reports, the victim's mother had left her purse in the vehicle along with several other items. Within hours of the vehicle burglary, the man with the tattoos and the female, who appears to be pregnant with a gray hoodie, used the victims checks and credit cards to purchase numerous gift cards and other miscellaneous items from Wal-Mart in Waxahachie, Ennis and Lancaster as well as a trip to Mesquite. "We believe these two suspects to be responsible for several other car burglary cases we're investigating in our city along with the fraud crimes that follow the car burglaries," stated Doughty. Law enforcement across the nation cannot stress enough the public should never leave anything in plain view locked in their cars, especially during the holidays. "Purses should be locked in a trunk with the wallet removed," advised Doughty. Christmas shopping stops should be limited so the vehicle is not piled up with gifts that may be too large or too difficult to hide out of plain view or expect to make several trips to and from home to unload. Police are hoping someone will be able to identify the tattoos on the male's forearm. Anyone with information should contact Doughty at 972-937-9940.
