The Ellis County Press: Veteran's kicking off food drive Veteran's kicking off food drive ================================================================================ Megan Gray on 10/28/2010 11:29:00 FERRIS - The Veteran’s Ad-vocate Group of North Texas, located in DeSoto, is kicking off a food drive to help families in need this holiday season. From Oct. 25 – Nov.11 the veteran’s group teamed with North Ellis County Outreach to collect non-perishable food items to help those who have little or nothing to eat this Thanksgiving. The advocate group wants everyone to know the food bank noted they are stocked with corn and green beans already. "They told us they have enough corn and green beans to feed an Army," said Vice Commander Robert Warren. Right now, you may drop off any non-perishable food items at the following sponsors: The Ellis County Press Days Inn at 202 South Interstate Highway 35 E. Service Road, in Red Oak. KBEC Radio located on 711 Ferris Avenue, in Waxahachie.
