A Tornado Touched Down

A tornado touched down in Ferris about 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8. Based on
a preliminary assessment, damage appeared to be limited to outbuildings, with
the exception of one enclosed patio-type room. At this time, only one injury has
been reported, a female injured by flying debris after taking shelter beneath a
bridge along I-45. She was treated and released.
