ORDINANCE NO. 08-0717
An ordinance of the City of Wilmer, texas, AMENDING THE code of ordinances by
REPEALING chapter 9, ARTICLE iii, "Alcoholic beverages", sections 9-16 and 9-17
IN ITS ENTIRETY and reserving the same for future reference; AND AMENDING
CHAPTER 9 by adding A NEW ARTICLE vII, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, to establish
regulations governing the sale and service of alcoholic beverages within the
city of Wilmer; adopting distance regulations from churches, public hospitals,
public and private schools; authorizing annual license and permit fees,
prohibiting the sale of beer and wine in residential areas; providing A
REPEALING CLAUSE; providing a severability clause; providing a penalty clause;
providing a savings clause; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
DULY PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WILMER, TEXAS ON THIS
