The Ellis County Press: Letters to the Editor: ‘Ground Zero’ Letters to the Editor: ‘Ground Zero’ ================================================================================ Editor on 08/26/2010 10:26:00 Talk about seeing the big picture. I have very mixed thoughts about this Mosque, but I stand behind the principles of our Constitution. We all should. Our fellow Americans have fought and died for it’s principles since the battle at the Old North Bridge in 1775. When we minimize that precious document by limiting anyone’s freedom of worship, however distasteful that might be, we begin to decimate the foundation upon which this great nation was built. The point by the writer that we have visited unspeakable atrocities upon foreign peoples is absolutely true. When we could not, or would not declare Constitutional war we merely sent our young men around the world to die and bring death to others in the name of the dollar bill. God must truly be aghast and the founding fathers must be horrified at our behavior. So, as hard as the pill may be to swallow, it may be good for America. "How does it feel?" It may be just what we need to reclaim the greatness, the goodness and the spirit of the former country that was America. And hopefully, favor with the God of all creation. Dale Pybus Midlothian
