Obamacare is scary

OK, everyone who loves the IRS hold up your hands.

Well, I sure didn’t see many hands out there. It must mean that not too many are enamored with America’s closest thing to the Gestapo. Hold that thought because if Obamacare passes guess who – or what – will be primarily in charge of enforcement? If you guessed the IRS, then go to the head of the line.

One section of the bill says the IRS must divulge taxpayer identity information, including filing status, the modified adjusted gross income, the number of dependents, and "other information as is prescribed by" regulation. This information will be provided the new Health Choices Commissioner and state health programs and used to determine who qualifies for "affordability credits."

Another part of the bill provides the Social Security Administration can obtain tax return data on anyone who may be eligible for a "low income prescription drug subsidy" but has not applied for it.

So, if the plan envisioned by Barack Hussein Obama and Congressional Democrats actually comes to fruition the primary federal bureaucracy responsible for implementing and enforcing national health care will be the old familiar Internal Revenue Service, aka the IRS.

As if the IRS is not already too powerful and already feared, it could wield even more power and expand its reach even further into the lives of Americans. Plus, the presidential-appointed head of the new healthcare bureaucracy will have access to confidential financial information about millions of individual taxpayers.

Do you have an "acceptable" health insurance plan? It will be up to the IRS to find and punish those who don’t. They will also check subsidizing health insurance costs through the issuance of tax credits, and they will also enforce the rules for those who attempt to opt out, abuse or misuse the system.

Obamacare does, in fact, provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior citizens are involved. It will provide free health care for illegal aliens if not immediately then soon, along with free abortion services, and forced participation in abortions by members of the medical profession.

Barack Obama has long been an advocate of electronic medical records, so appointees of the Obama administration will have access to all your healthcare information, your personal financial information, the information of your employer, your physician, hospital and many others.

If you do not have "acceptable" healthcare insurance the Health Choices Administrator will impose a tax on you. It’s called a "tax" instead of a fine because to do otherwise might invoke the due process clause of the Fifth Amendment. But, since you can’t contest or appeal the application of a tax, this would definitely be depriving someone of property without due process of law.

Here’s another cool item from Obamacare. If your child’s pediatrician asks about dad’s gun collection, would you like that information being relayed to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives?

Or, would you like the BATFE trolling through your medical records to see if you were ever diagnosed as ADHD so they can take your guns away?

How about if your wife’s gynecologist’s records held information about her past drug use which would allow them to take away her guns and yours? Almost all the powers given to the Executive Branch will be implemented by anti-gun zealots such as Kathleen Sebelius, Cass Sunstein who is Obama’s new regulatory czar, and David Michaels newly nominated head of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

The Obama administration and congressional Democrats, led by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, have spent the last nine months lying to us and trying to swindle us so as to take away our Constitutional rights.

Hopefully the time has come to tell them a resounding "no" and take away their power to do so.

Bottom line, Obamacare sucks.
