I am a little more than ticked about the attitude about the referendum in Waxahachie on alcohol.

I respect peoples belief in sobriety, but the fact is you can walk into Chili’s, Applebee’s, College Street Pub, Courtside Bar and Grill just to mention a few and buy hard liquor as well as beer and wine.

Yet if I  (as well as any local pastor) want to buy a bottle of wine for the Passover I have had to drive 51 miles round trip to Alma to purchase it.

If you defeat the referendum no pastor or anyone will be able to buy that sacramental wine locally, but yet hard liquor is available ant local eateries as well as bars for anyone who wants them.

Defeating the propositions will NOT change that.

Defeating these propositions will only keep Waxahachie from being able to use the tax money already collected right here.

It will keep needed revenue that already exists, plus new generated from local sales of beer and wine.

It will not for one moment slow or stop the sale of hard liquor already here or beer and wine sales all around us and the tax collected thereon.

So who benefits?

Local pastors can thump their chests and say we have defeated this terrible demon liquor, when they have NOT slowed the sales one iota, only shifted the point of sales and the loss of revenue therein.

Even our Savior drank wine, what else is that but hypocrisy?

You want to make a real difference in the sight of God?

Re-elect nobody!

Fire them all! Let’s wake up and smell the fat burning it’s our rear ends.

These lying politicians supporting the theft of our freedoms, in local and state and federal courts.

Lying government officials and press that refuse to tell the truth about the highest act of TREASON ever committed in America, 9-11.

Supporting the most draconian unconstitutional police state laws in the form of THE PATRIOT ACT I&2 Et al.

Yet you will make yourselves feel warm and fuzzy thinking you’ve done some good defeating the alcohol referendum. What a joke.

Get real, wake up, and fight the real battles because we "war against principalities and powers."

Choose well whom you will serve!
