Dramatic scenarios

Denver is going to belong to the Devil this week, as the Democrats congregate there to convention, coronation really and anoint their long-awaited deliverer.

The moment appears to have arrived that many of us thought would never, actually, could never be in the America we grew up in during the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, even into the early 60’s.

Yet, arrived it has…and in spades.

Many of us recall the hellfire and brimstone preachers of our youth prophesizing, if you will, of famines, pestilences and earthquakes in divers places.

Far off and far out, for heavens sake, we thought, but, through the media of television, the internet…and National Geographic, much of this we’ve already begun to see.

But the worst is not yet.

Not that Obama even comes close, but major earthquakes often are preceded by little tremors.

That’s him.

"For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect" Matthew 24:24.

No, it’s not us (the elect) who are being deceived by this little forerunner; it’s our children and grandchildren who we’ve allowed to be deceived and deprived in our government schools and through the myriad other forms of media surrounding us and them these days.

Our very own progeny have been disadvantaged of the ability to make keen observations through analytical thought based on sound judgment, and it is they who make up the vast majority of the almost worshipful tide being created by Obama and his handlers.

We’ve failed to teach them enough for red flags to be popping up all over the place…as they have been for those of us who were taught just enough to know better than to buy in on all the bull.

If it sounds too good to be true…it probably is.

Actually, I may be in strong company with a majority of Americans who have resorted to dreaming-up dramatic scenarios to avoid ever having to cast a vote for either Obama OR McCain.

It occurred to me (in my dream) of McCain stumping his toe and fatally falling off a campaign platform, ascending instantly up to the High Heavens via a golden chariot, amid angel choirs singing.

Of course, Pat Buchanan was happy to step in and run as the Republican nominee, with Michael Reagan as his VP.

And, as for Obama, I could visualize him suddenly changing his mind (he does spout the "change" word a lot, does he not?) turning down the nomination, amid hysterical screams of protest from Michelle and naming Zell Miller of Georgia as the Democratic nominee, his VP running mate being Joe Lieberman.

Now we have a real choice before us (if only in my dreams).

Since we’re in a dream mode, let’s do something a little different and change-of-pace, re-calling up a Four Knights song from the fabulous 50’s, O Baby Mine:

[Oh, baby mine]

[Oh, baby mine]

[Oh, baby mine]

[Oh, baby mine]

I get so lonely when I dream about you

Can’t do without you

That’s why I dream about you

If I could only put my arms about you

Life would be so fair

[If you would]

We two could hug and kiss

And never tire, I’m on fire

You are my one desire

I get so lonely when I dream about you

Why can’t you be there

Tossin’ and turnin’ in my slumber

[Oh, baby]

Holding you it seems

[Oh, baby]

I give you kisses without number

But only in my dreams

Repeat the last verse

[Oh, baby mine]

Life would be so fair

[Oh, baby mine]

Life would be so fair.

Keep praying and dreaming about our dilemma. May God answer and bless.
