Tabloid?

A long time ago, I watched an old sci-fi movie, where the hero stopped at a news stand and told his new partner to pick up several of the grocery store tabloids.

When his side kick looked at him inquiringly, he said, "this is where you get the real news!"

Hey, little bird, that was a JOKE! Wait a minute, maybe it wasn’t.

Of course the current John Edwards story is an example of hey, what happened to the big news media with hundreds of high pay reporters?

The story was out there, but none of the big organizations would investigate it.

I wonder if he had been a republican running for office.

How long would it take to report any rumor, even if there were no basis?

Does this mean the weekly super-market papers operate under a different constitution or laws than the larger papers or it just that the smaller city, low budget news papers HAVE to report all the news to stay in business.

News you can’t get in the New York or Dallas papers.

This is why you must support your home town papers, like The Ellis County Press.

The ECP lives in your town and what affects you affects the staff and well being of their business.

Large papers like DMN or NYT cannot be hurt by stories which hurt their cities, or even this country.

I keep hearing the larger news media readership is falling and I wonder if it is just reading is harder than viewing?

Maybe it is the readers are tired of lies and half truths, one-sided versions of the small amount of news they publish.

I enjoy reading newspapers from all over the country and some of the best true coverage has been small newspapers but they sometimes give the best national coverage.

I wonder after the John Edwards trouble, maybe we should check the tabloids more often!

Have aliens landed on earth?

Look out in the street; do you see any walking the streets?

On TV, I saw a basketball player with a 22 shoe.

Is that a descendant of big foot?

Will The Ellis County Press have an alien or monster column?

I doubt it, some things are better left to the tabloids, but some times they should be thanked for coming up with stories we need to hear, even though the Christian readers shudder and like the big newspaper, don’t want to know. Remember the saying is not "ALL THE NEWS THAT FITS!

Someone said what would have happened if this mans infidelity and blatant lies had not been discovered till after the election? This is JOHN’S VU!!
