Odd man out

Now is the time for all good men who love their country to come to its aid.

Maybe it is time for everyone to come and do what you can.

If you care, do what you know is right!!

I have listened to the noise from both sides of the presidential mess and both sides worry me. Each side has some good ideas.

Ideas, little bird, that will get you out of your rut and take you out of your little nest.

Maybe even get rid of your tree.

Has anyone besides me listened to the rhetoric?

The politicians are changing the promises from the first of the electioneering.

At the start it was a bunch of different people, some with great ideas.

Why do we seem to prefer the wistful day dreams of speech writers whose ideas are presented by the charming actors delivering your dreams?

Yes, your dreams.

If these are yours, then why do you not make them come true?

You can’t make them true because you cannot afford them!

Neither can this country make all dreams come true, because the country cannot afford everyone’s dreams.

The answer, of course, is to ask for reasonable things you can afford.

Like a child in a toy store, ask for all the toys.

If you got everything in the store, there would be no more money for anything else.

No more toys, food, or house.

What to do?

Get interested in politics, look who is trying to run this country.

When they offer the whole candy store, the answer to all your dreams, remember your budget, if you can’t afford it America can’t afford it.

So when a presidential wannabe tells you he will give you the whole candy store, you figure he is the "ODD MAN OUT."

Will you elect the odd man to run our country?

Yes, the man who tells you "elect me and I will give you all the toys," remember, you have to pay for all the things he promises.

I listen to the Obamanation and hear daddy buy all the toys!!

Will you listen to this pied piper, who promises all and when he finds you can’t afford the whole store, he will grin and say "what did you expect from an odd man?"

I will vote for the straight talk express!!

This of course is JOHN’S VU!!
