Constitutional Thinking: Education: Still the key

Most Americans realize the importance of a good education, but unfortunately, they don’t demand that their children receive one. They send them to public indoctrination centers (regular public or charter schools), where each year the quality of the education received decreases, and more Christianity is brainwashed out of their children.

Having said this, I know that there are some exceptions. There are teachers that go above and beyond the call of duty, or teach special courses providing super content. Even with these exceptions, the system is fixed against children receiving a really good education. The best way to assure that your children receive a top quality education is to Home School with top notch materials. If parents do not property supervise the process, the end result may still be disappointing. I have seen that happen.

We need to face the facts that the goal of schools today is not to educate, but to train students to be sheep. They do too much teaching of what to think, instead of teaching how to think. They don’t teach individual thought, but instead work to eliminate the “I” from the picture and make it a group think “we”.

Schools don’t want leaders, they want sheep. If you’re brave enough, you might want to take the Patriot of Sheep Quiz on my website: www.constitutionalsolution.org to see where you fit in. Don’t worry, if you “baaaah” out on it, there is still time to learn!

Today, we need more education in the home on the basics of life, more education in the churches on basics many churches now overlook, and in whatever education system your children are in, we specifically need more education on the Constitution.

With Constitution Day being September 17th, it would be a good time to dig up a copy read it carefully.

After Constitution Day in school, review with your children what they learned that day, review it with your children, and answer their questions. Students of most ages should be able to understand at least the basic concepts if you explain it on their level. Teach them to always check proposed laws, rules against the constitutional.

Unfortunately, the little bit of constitutional education received in school is not enough to have a lasting impact. I would recommend you take one of the courses on the Constitution listed on my website. Some are even FREE.

The importance of your children knowing and understanding the Constitution is presented clearly in a wonderful video by former NRA President, Charlton Heston. Go to You Tube, search him, and watch his video - Right to Bear Arms. Listen to his interviews of the school children about the Second Amendment. It is frightening what they say. Think of the future. Of course, the public schools are teaching against the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Since you are already on You Tube, watch the - NRA Tribute to Charlton Heston. It exhibits the attitudes we need to have in defending our rights today. See how he deals with the “Presstitutes”, a better name (I stole it) for most of our media today, in talks to the college students. We need the attitude he espouses to save all of our Bill of Rights and Constitution. It’s time to stand up!

While the NRA is not my favorite gun rights organization due to their consistent compromising of our rights over the years, Charlton Heston was a great spokesman for the Second Amendment.

In standing up, we need to be willing to ask the tough questions about everything we face in life, and not accept answers that do not stand up to tough analysis. While we remember the events of 9-11, we need answers to why FEMA forced fire fighters in Texas to stand down, instead of working to put of the fires. We need to ask why the Fed is paying the banks to not loan to us.

Also ask why government wants to put in highway scanners that will give travelers 10-100 times the radiation exposure of a chest x-ray. We need to ask why our troops are being exposed to depleted uranium ammunition which gives them a death sentence. We need to figure out why many Americans are supporting globalists, instead of constitutionalists, for President. Educate your friends and start fixing these items.

Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas warned us about oppression: “As nightfall does not come all at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there is a twilight when everything remains seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all must be most aware of change in the air – however slight – lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness.” We have been living in the twilight for many years, and it is fading, but the Truth will bring us a new dawn.
