Simply Speaking: Truth is a key
The Good Book says something to the effect, if we believe in Him (Yeshua) and continue in His Word, we will be His disciples and we will know the truth and that truth will make us free. Look it up in John 8:31–32.
Even though Jesus is speaking about abiding in his word, such as the Torah (and all the remainder of the Bible), we will be working with pure truth…and by so-doing, that truth will unlock the chains that bind us…and will truly begin the process of setting us free.
So truth is a key, if you will, and can be the mechanism to set us free spiritually, as well as in all the other realms of life. We should not be afraid of truth, the mainspring for freeing us from whatever evils might bind us.
Sometimes we are afraid too much truth might be stronger than we can stand or have the effect of running off those we desire to help.
Yeshua said on many occasions, “Fear not!”
Truth spoken in loving kindness should not “run off” anyone. Now, if we try and cram “truth” down people’s throats, there are those who will recoil, not from truth, but from the truth-crammers.
The Tea Party movement is, I believe, a proper reaction to untruths being crammed down our throat for, well, for all of our lives.
We have gleaned little bits of truth here and there, for instance, from our study of the Good Book, possibly from our houses of worship, from filtering truth from the internet or from Fox News, from good publications, and the like.
We’ve listened to the mainstream’s lies since before we can remember, and have looked around to finally discover they’ve mostly been feeding us lies or, at best, half-truths.
The Tea Party has given us the opportunity to gather together and to talk with one another and to read each other’s signs and to say amen brother, let’s begin the work of setting things straight.
That’s why we have become “terrorists” and slow-witted dummies in the eyes of the mainstream and the establishment, even by those who we have elected to be our representatives.
We are being hated and as Maxine Waters has publically stated, we can go to hell.
Those reactions, by those who’ve been lying to us, tell me we’re doing something right and to keep pouring on the coal (an old early-days steam locomotive term).
An error we might fall into, as truth seekers, is one made by those who came before us and who were afraid to expose the people to the whole unadulterated truth…the trap of sanitizing original error.
Again, the Good Book and its Author tell us how many of us are righteous. Remember? “No not one!”
So, do we then place our whole faith in, for instance, American documents leaving out our reliance on the One who created all things? Do we even dare to tell the truth about that to others who have agreed to work together with us to work to set things straight?
If we are to be effectively successful, we must work with all the truth that can be garnered from any source, not cramming it down throats, but revealing truths we have unearthed…in earnest loving-kindness to all who would hear.
If we are afraid to deal in as pure truth as we can find, preferring to sanitize and rerun old Americanized fables, we will end in like manner to the ones who’ve been lying to us for generations.
As for me and my house, we will _________________.
You fill in the blank.
May Yahweh bless truth-seekers through Yeshua, the (real) Bright and Morning Star.
