Simply Speaking: In a pickle
The Republicans in the US House of Representatives are in a pickle. Since approximately the time Tea Parties came into existence across America, their attention has been called toward the “representative” name associated with their own and they have been pondering its meaning ever since, many, seemingly, for the very first time.
The Democrats proudly admit they’re a representative, a representative for the big unions, a representative for the Greenies (that’s a good color for them), a representative for ultra-liberal Left, a representative for the feminist movement and their pro-abortion/pro-euthanasia agenda, a representative for the anti-gunners and their anti-Second Amendment agenda, a representative for the God is Dead people and their keep God off the public square and out of the public schools agenda.
The Democrats (add the assorted Liberals under other names, such as RINO* and neocons*) ARE representatives, as the title clearly states. The trouble is, they’re representatives for almost everyone… EXCEPT the ones for whom the office was originally designed; for We the People and the Good Lord.
So here we have the assorted Republicans caught on the horns of a dilemma, unable to decide between two things because either could bring bad results.
Well Republicans, your chickens are coming home to roost. For years and years, Republicans on the trail to get elected or re-elected, along with party leadership, have “allowed” grassroots Republicans to write the party platform to the tenth degree, secretly whispering backstage how the party platform matters not, except in the getting elected or re-elected and in the maintaining of party leadership.
Yes, the chickens have come home to roost and are warning the sky is falling. If you “representatives” had been operating along the lines of your very own party platform and US Constitution all along, only the Democrats and Liberals would currently be in hot water.
As it is, be sure and get behind your ears and wash your mouth out with lava.
Let us pray that, since Republicans are backed into a corner, they will seek, ala Ben Franklin at the Constitutional Convention, guidance from above (and not the flying saucer people).
May Yahweh bless We the People through Yeshua, the Alpha and Omega.
*neocons…”neoconservative”…someone presented as a conservative, but who actually favors big government, interventionalism, and a hostility to religion in politics and
government. The word means “newly conservative,” and thus formerly liberal. Neoconservatives tend to oppose the appointment of social conservatives to high government
positions, such as nominations to the US Supreme Court and, instead, support candidates who are liberal on social issues.
Conservapedia says Irving Kristol was dubbed by many as the“Godfather” of Neo-conservatism.
*RINO…Republican In Name Only…Has little to no use for Republican platform, even the US Constitution, except for election or re-election purposes. Not limited to elected officials, but could include party leadership, even voters who don’t have a clue.
