Jon's Vu: Guilty!

After the results of the highest rated court trial in a while, a trial where all the “experts” convicted this woman of killing her daughter, we once more are faced with the wonderful American system that says innocent till proven guilty.

I hear once again our attorney general is bringing a foreign terrorist to our country for trial. He makes it sound like justice will be served.

What happens if an activist judge throws out all his evidence, which was obtained in a foreign country, where American laws don’t apply? What happens if the jury which must follow the law, lets him go. Then his war on us will continue in this country.

How much money will we spend to import enemies to this country, people considered innocent till proven guilty?

Are you willing to trust your safety to the present attorney general, the top lawyer in a most inept administration?

How many pirates, terrorists and assorted really bad guys who will be presumed innocent, until these unpredictable people turn them loose. Will they be tried by their peers?

Where will you find twelve pirates, or twelve terrorists to sit on the jury. What, that sounds silly, how else can this administration try this guy and be fair. Fair would have been sending him to Gitmo! A lot less money to let him be tried by the army who caught him and knows how to deal with him.

I love the American judicial system.

But to bring a murdering terrorist to this country and expect to convict him with certainty is crazy.

If I go to court the small time court will find plenty of people to fit in my category, old and poor as a church house mouse.

Now think about it where will you find a judge or jury who understands the crime of piracy on the high seas or fighting on a battlefield, fighting by people who consider they are fighting for their freedom against Americans who have invaded their country?

Remember justice for soldiers is decided by the winners! That is an ol’ JON’S saying!!

Do you still want to bring pirates and terrorists to your town and try them in your home town court?

Will you go on the jury that tries them? If you set them free will you accept them as neighbors?

You must think these crazy unlikely things when you elect the leaders who put you in this position.

Our system is great but it has its limits.

Look around, read the news papers and decide would you like some of these foreign killers to join the homegrown criminals running loose next door?

I wouldn’t, but that’s just JON’S VU!!!
