Preparing for a rainy day

With all the strange weather events worldwide, the economic, social and political turmoil, rising fuel and food prices, many Americans are considering what if anything they should do to prepare for a rainy day. From the days of the Bible until now, prudent people have always been prepared. It is even the Boy Scout motto. Be sure to read down to the good news for you below.

I am writing this from Springfield, Missouri, where this past weekend I attended the Get Prepared EXPO. Attendees learned about survival economics, alternative energy, self-defense, food storage, home safety, water filtration, farm animals, storm shelters, computer disasters, starting businesses, home schooling, and much more. Experts were there to answer individual questions.

In addition to this practical knowledge, political issues were covered, with excellent speakers from groups like We the People, and the Branson Tea Party. I was impressed by the speakers which included several from patriotic radio networks and well known William J. Federer, the prolific author of books like; America’s God and Country and What Every American Needs to Know About the QUR’AN.

Federer’s talk summarized the few exceptions in world history when people actually had some say in their government, including the Greek and Roman republics. We need to realize that in having a Republic, we have a very rare prize to protect. Most people have lived under Kings and Queens of some type throughout history. Even under communism, the Chairman is in effect the king. The Party members are their royalty. You are either a friend of the King, keep quiet, or you are dead.

He also gave a brief history of the rise of Islam. How any thinking person could be a member of this group started by the deceptive man Mohammed is beyond me. Americans need to realize Islam’s strategy of lying and deception is totally contrary to our Christian beliefs. Islam is not just another religion to ignore. It is religion, politics and government all rolled into one.

Another top speaker was long-time friend from Missouri, John Moore, an ex-Green Beret and military intelligence officer, private investigator and preparedness expert speaking about some very controversial issues and the outlook for our country. It was a very frightening scenario, and if correct, we need to be prepared. He is the only speaker for the Prophecy Club to ever be invited to do two national tours for the club in one year.

Now, I have some good news for you! You don’t have to travel 450 miles to get some of the same type of information. The 2011 Survival & Preparedness Conference is coming to Dallas on Saturday, May 28th, and May 29th at the DFW Airport Marriot North. It is sponsored by the Survivalist Magazine, and I would recommend you take advantage of this rare opportunity if possible.

Topics to be covered according to their press release include; self reliance, personal freedom, homesteading, family preparedness, emergency first aid, self-defense and wilderness skills. There will also be a large number of exhibitors of preparedness supplies and equipment. It looks like a fabulous opportunity to learn first-hand from top experts in various fields in person.

The White House, we learn, has been prepared also, as they ended the practice of “photo re-enactments” for reporters, which many readers interpreted to be real photos. Supposedly this has been done since Harry Truman, who delivered speeches over radio and then repeated them for newsreel cameras.

More concerning, is the photo of the President with high level officials and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton supposedly watching events unfold in Pakistan during the recent Osama event. Many feel it was faked. The President does not in any way appear presidential, but rather to have hurriedly left the basketball court for this inconvenient moment. There appears to be growing and wide-spread concern over these recent events.

In the Presidential candidate area, Mike Huckabee just announced last Friday that he was not planning on running for President in 2012. He said he could not get “his heart into the race”, but he was not polling as well as expected, and I fear he may be just stepping aside to let the many Republican candidates knock each other out, and come back later as the savior for Republicans to unite behind. This man, of course, as a CFR member, wants to destroy America as we know it, but pretends to be a conservative.

Newt Gingrich, another member of the demonic CFR club, however appears to be warming up for a race, and I have long thought he could well be the candidate, even though he is about the last person that should be a presidential candidate. I will continue the candidate coverage next week.
