At Ferris Intermediate Mrs. York’s Fourth Grade Class is helping out the Ferris community. The students were reading in their Social Studies books about free enterprise, entrepreneurs, profit and investors when the students decided they wanted to create a business where they could donate all the profit to a charity that would help out people in the community. They choose the Christian Community Outreach of Ferris food bank. The students donated their time making and selling their unique bookmarks before and after school raising $127. The volunteers at the food bank came to the students fourth grade classroom Thursday. April 21 to accept the students donation and thank the students for their help.
