The Ferris Public Library’s Annual Book Sale is currently being held. You can get some great books at a great price! All of the books in this sale have been donated to the library by generous citizens of our community. We appreciate their support and the continued support of our patrons who purchase these items.
On Wednesday, June 13, at 11 a.m. we will kick-off our Summer Reading Program “Libraries Rock!” at Mutz Park. A Craft Time will be held on Thursday, June 14th, in the Ferris Public Library’s meeting room, also at 11 a.m., for children ages 3 – 11.
Teen Time, ages 12 – 17, will begin on Friday, June 15 at 2 p.m. For their first Summer Reading Program teens will be gaming on the PS4. Staff will be estimating how many will be in attendance so that we can purchase the proper amount of supplies for future weekly programs. Free drinks and snacks will be provided.
Samaritan Miracles will be serving free lunches to children during the summer in the library’s Aubrey Trussell Memorial Meeting Room. Meals are served from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., weekly Tuesday – Friday.

Fun Holiday: Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses on “Sauntering Day,” June 19. This unofficial annual holiday reminds people to pause, take time from your busy schedule, and slow down a bit. This day was created to encourage everyone to take a leisurely walk and to unwind. Did you know that for the average person, walking one mile can burn up to 100 calories? Let’s saunter our way to good health.
