We the people of Texas’ Congressional District 6 have the first opportunity in almost 30 years to choose a new Representative to Congress.
The newly opened seat vacated by the retiring Joe Barton has brought 11 candidates out to run to fill the vacancy.
Nine of the CD6 Candidates will gather for a Candidate Forum and Meet & Greet on Feb.17 from noon until 7 p.m. at The Texas Motorplex Champion Club.
This free event is open to the public and they are encouraged to attend.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to be part of history hosted by the CD6 Coalition for the Constitution.
Constituents will have a chance to get to know the individual who will be the next congressional representative for Ellis, Navarro and part of Tarrant counties.
The occasion to have one-on-one time with one or all of the contenders gives insight to the policies and beliefs of the person who will run in the general election on Nov. 6.
There will be plenty of parking for the come and go event and the day will be divided up into an early meet & greet period followed by a session when the candidates will be questioned over issues of the day and policy differences among them.
The day will be finished with another personal time between voters and candidates. Light refreshments will be served. The CD6 Coalition for the Constitution is a grassroots organization formed to vet candidates and work directly with the elected representative who serves the district.
